General FAQs

Is Yokaiju Legit?
We might be a relatively new website, but we can assure you we’re 百パーセント the real deal.

All of our figures are authentic, all of our candy is edible, and all of our manga is readable. Check out our social profiles on Instagram and Facebook for some of the stuff we get up to, and don’t be afraid to slide into our DMs if you want to speak to us before placing an order.

We don’t bite, even if our mascot does.

Are any of your anime products bootleg?
Absolutely not. Not only are bootleg products generally poorly made, they do nothing for the anime industry.

We always make sure every single thing we sell is 100% licensed and official, so you get the best quality collectibles, and we all give something back to the studios and creators we love.

There's a product I want that you don't stock. Can you get it for me?
We’ll always do our best to stock the coolest stuff from the most popular series, but if we don’t have a product you’d like, email us at senpai@yokaiju.co.uk and we’ll see what we can do.

If it’s something our suppliers can get hold of, we should be able to sort you out!

I found something cheaper elsewhere. Do you price match?

We’d be happy to!

What payment methods do you accept?
We use Stripe and PayPal to process orders, both of which accept all major credit cards (yes, even Amex).
What's the little dinosaur fella called?
Our mascot (or yuru-chara) is called King Kaiju, and he gets really offended if you ever refer to him as ‘the little dinosaur fella’. So maybe don’t do that again.
I'm looking for a waifu. Do you sell those?
Plastic ones – yes. Real ones – no. But there are dating apps we can recommend.

Preorder FAQs

How do I place a preorder?
Placing a preorder is exactly the same as a regular order. Just purchase the item as you would normally, and it’ll be sent as soon as it’s released.

If you pay in full, you’ll receive a 5% discount on the item’s usual purchase price as a thank you.

If you’d rather, you can pay a 20% deposit on the item’s usual purchase price instead. When we get the item in stock, we’ll send you an invoice to pay for the remainder. We’ll then send the item out once we’ve received your full payment.

Will my preorder arrive on the ETA shown?

The preorder release dates are given to us by the manufacturer, and while they usually meet them, delays can unfortunatley happen. If they do, it’s totally out of our control.

Chances are you’ll get your item on time, but keep in mind that the date may change. If your item is delayed for any reason, we’ll email you with a new ETA.

Why has my preorder ETA changed?

Delays can happen from time to time for reasons beyond our control. Generally we aren’t given any specifics as to why a delay has occurred.

If your preorder is experiencing delays, we’ll change the ETA on the product page and notify you via email with a new expected date.

The ETA date has passed. Where is my preorder?

When the preorder date arrives, it can take a few days for us to recieve the item from the supplier. Once we receive it, we’ll send it straight out to you.

You’ll receive an email to let you know once your preorder has been dispatched.

Can I cancel a preorder?

Yes, but there is a cancellation fee.

When you preorder (whether you paid in full or with a deposit), the item is immediately purchased from the supplier.

This can’t be undone, so if you need to cancel, your 20% deposit (or 20% of the total value if you paid in full) will act as your fee.

Why was my preorder cancelled?
It’s very rare, but sometimes manufacturers can’t make enough of an item, or just decide to not make it at all.

In these extreme cases, you’ll receive an email to let you know your order has been cancelled and refunded.

We’re super sorry if this has happened to you, but it’s totally out of our control.

I paid a deposit. How do I pay for the rest?

When your order arrives with us, we’ll send you an email invoice for whatever’s left to pay. It’s super simple – just click the link, put in your payment details and press ‘pay’!

Once we’ve receieved your payment, we’ll get everything shipped out to you.

What happens if I want to preorder items released in different months?

Because items expected in different months will need postage applied to them seperately, our system only lets you preorder one item at a time.

Once you’ve paid for the first, add the next to your basket and check out again. Then repeat until you’re done!

Delivery & Returns FAQs

Do you ship internationally?

We do! But at the moment our website only accepts orders within Europe.

If you’re from outside the UK or EU, drop us a message telling us what items you’re after and we can let you know what shipping options are available.

When will I receive my order?

Order before 2pm and we’ll send out your order on the same day. Orders placed after 2pm will be sent out the following working day. During busy periods (e.g. in the months leading up to Christmas) this could take a day or two longer, but we’ll do our best to make sure it doesn’t.

Once your order is in the post, how quickly it gets to you will depend on the courier and the delivery method you chose. For example, standard delivery via Royal Mail generally takes around two to three days.

It's been a while and my item hasn't arrived. Where is it?

It’s super rare, but sometimes the courier can take longer than expected with deliveries.

All orders have some level of tracking, but how thorough it is depends on the delivery method you selected at checkout. You can check the tracking via the order information in your account. If this doesn’t help you locate your order, get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to track it down for you.

I have to return an item. What do I do?

You’ll want to take a look at our returns page. It has information specific to the different kinds of return you might want to make

I bought an item of clothing but it doesn't fit. What do I do?

First of all, don’t take off the tags!

Second of all, don’t worry. As long as there are other sizes in stock, we can sort out an exchange. If we’re all out, you can get a full refund.
